Mos Burger sucks so bad. I was this Year in Japan and was in a Mos 3 Times (different Locations) because i cant belive how Bad this was. The French Fries wer ALWAYS the worst Fries i ever had. The Burgers taste so boring and bland... Other Japanese Stores wer not better like Freshness Burger or Lotteria. Japanese Suck at making Burgers BUT they make the best Pizzas in the World

There used to be an old lady whom I used to frequent for breakfast, and she used to make her sambal tumis similar to the village park. The difference is that she extended her cooking time, the colour was slightly darker than other shops, and the viscosity was thick. But the taste, masha'allah, the flavours, the fragrantness, and the heat. Not so spicy that I couldn't enjoy eating my dish. It was just right for what I consider a good sambal.

The 10% difference in the broth taste between the claypot laksa and normal laksa likely comes from e-mee. As you mention, e-mee has a distinctive taste, and it is often transferred to the soup/broth. It may be the "deep-fried/oil" taste that comes from the preparation of the e-mee.

The Calanthe laksa used to be 10/10 for me back 8years ago. But ever since I tasted it again months ago, it was so different. 6/10 now.

For really good laksa in Melaka, do go to d’LEETcious Nyonya Laksa Empire in Kota Laksamana. Daniel is the guy that originally was the laksa guy at Calanthe, and left to start his own. Much better than Calanthe’s!

Your Plan B.... Jonker 88 like Joker 88.... Looks very watery...can see that lacks of dried shrimp bits and coconut milk in them. Oh and the taupok looks like way too fresh... meaning not well cooked in the laksa broth...

The comment about sambal cockles not being common made me laugh. As a Malaysian living in SG, I know what he means. Ain't no kerang in SG here but it's everywhere in MY.😂

Ipoh laksa and penang laksa also have great laksas. Also have peranakans in these areas . Gopeng laksa with lau su fen "mouse noodles" and penang laksa with the yellow noodle variety

Yo Alderic, Malaysia laksa doesn't have laksa leaves. It's actually a singapore thing that I only discovered after I started living in Sg.

wah, as much as i love malaysian food, somehow i feel like Singaporean laksa has evolved to suit our palate and their version of laksa is just gonna be so different its not a (fair) comparison. This episode was kinda strange for me to watch as its almost like comparing different dishes.

Hey Alderic, great series so far ! might I suggest, don't sleep on Penang laksa. There're pretty different in terms of the usual curry based laksa, but using asam, fish, pineapple combo. Pretty unique I must say and lots of good ones in Penang if you get the chance to get there and try !

I have a rather interesting recommendation, Rocky Master Laksa Supreme. Really unusual, I know. Really expensive for laksa ($13++, If I remember correctly), I know. But.. I kind of like the quail's eggs and sotong balls in their laksa leh! And the cucumber in their laksa, very unorthodox, but it gives a refreshing crunch and neutralizes the lemakness a little. I'd like to know what u think!
